Bridge Refugee Services is a 501(3)(c) non-profit agency in Knoxville and Chattanooga that helps international refugees resettle in the East Tennessee area.

Bridge supports a lot of refugee families with children. Many of them are young and have a hard time understanding what they're going through. Bridge had the idea to create a life-sized board game to help those children and their families understand the process better and what challenges they may face.

They named the game New Roots.

I was given full creative control over the project. I thought it was important to incorporate the "roots" theme into the design with leaves, grass, and plant imagery. This was a mixed-media project.
