I designed six covers and over a dozen articles when I was the Graphic Design Editor for the student newspaper, “Sidelines,” at Middle Tennessee State University. I incorporated my love for illustrations by drawing the covers of each edition. I included items or themes relevant to the articles inside on the covers, too. Because of the large format (10x14 in), it was important to keep text and image size in mind when designing the articles, as well as white space for advertisements.
